Black and White Spider Awards is open to professional and amateur photographers shooting in all forms of black and white photography using traditional or digital methods. We encourage classic styles, new creative ideas and photographers who are driven by their artistic eye and a desire to excel in this classic art form. Nominees vie for 132 title awards representing the best work of the year.
Receiving a Black and White Spider Award is an endorsement of distinction from the most trusted names in the business. Judging panel for the awards includes Head of Tate Photography at the Tate Gallery (London), Director Publishing at Magnum Photos, Creative Director of Photo District News (PDN) and many more.
London Creative Competition
Deadline: April 30, 2010
Submit your innovative works of art for inclusion in the London International Creative Competition. Your work is juried by a board of internationally esteemed artists, writers, curators, gallery owners and other luminaries of the visual arts. The jury-selected finalists and shortlist will be published in the LICC Annual Awards Book, on the website and announced to the creative arts and media outlets worldwide. The 15 finalists works will be presented at the LICC awards ceremony in London and one prize-winner chosen by the jury will receive the £2,000 cash.
Deadline: All entries must be received by mail between May 1 and 15, 2010.
Brian Paul Clamp, Director of CLAMPART, one of New York’s leading contemporary photography galleries, will be the juror for the 2010 Photo Review Photography Competition. The Photo Review, a highly acclaimed critical journal of photography, is sponsoring its 26th annual photography competition with a difference. Instead of only installing an exhibit that would be seen by a limited number of people, The Photo Review will reproduce accepted entries in its 2010 competition issue and on its website. Thus, the accepted photographs will be seen by thousands of people all across the world and entrants will have a tangible benefit from the competition.
