Chinese Artist Yao Lu’s Garbage Paintings
Ancient Springtime Fey, 2006 Copyright Yao Lu |
Yao Lu photographs garbage dumps then digitally alters the images to recreate breathtaking landscapes inspired by traditional Chinese paintings. These photographic works play with time by evoking both past and present. Visually deceiving they also play with the viewer’s mind… but this is digital trickery I do not mind!
