These women, who represent Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, and the USA, are documenting a range of issues including war, sexual violence, aging, environmental biohazards, the constraints of motherhood and more specifically, acid attacks against women and girls in Bangladesh. Together, they are using photography and photo-based art to reclaim and retell history in a manner that is both radical and necessary.
