The year 2013 is now just a memory and while most of it for me was occupied with finishing up my final thesis show for the ICP-Bard MFA program, I did find some time to post on the blog. For those of you who missed these posts last year, here’s a roundup of the 2013 year in photography via some of my favorite posts on Dodge & Burn.

 

 

 

    • In the blog’s first-ever post on performance art, I took extensive notes during the Radical Presence panel at NYU where several black artists discussed how they’ve used photography in their performances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Known for her portraits of African Americans, I wrote about the work of Consuelo Kanaga whose prints are held in the ICP Collection.
