As a photographer are you challenged with articulating your personal vision?

Then this 5-week continuing education class taught by fine art photographer Jaime Permuth at the International Center for Photography might be for you.

Here’s the course description:
At its core, a successful artistic practice can be defined as undertaking a series of compelling, carefully chosen projects and producing them to the highest standards of excellence While subject matter changes from one body of work to the next, the essential steps involved in project management remain the same. This class guides participants through the process of conceptualizing, producing, presenting, and promoting a body of work. Through a combination of lectures and weekly assignments, participants are introduced to the essential tasks involved in project management: writing proposals, artist statements, and grant applications; asset management; production timelines and budgets; fiscal sponsorship and funding strategies; intellectual property and copyright; identifying artistic context; institutional partnerships; packaging a body of work for exhibition; and finding exhibition venues and avenues for promoting one`s work. prerequisite: Photo II
